The Magic of Text-to-Speech Technology
To achieve this, we'll be harnessing the power of Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology. Windows comes with built-in Text-to-Speech capabilities that can convert text into spoken words. We will use a simple VBScript script to make your computer greet you with a welcome message. Here's how to get started:
Follow the instructions given below:-
step 1: Open your IDE or your Notepad on your PC.
step 2: From there Create a new Document or file.
step 3: Copy the below code and paste exactly as it is in the Document Created..
Dim speaks, speech Dim user user = "Wisdak" speaks = "Welcome, " & user & ", to your PC" ' Concatenate the user's name Set speech = CreateObject("sapi.spvoice") speech.Speak speaks
step 4: Replace "Wisdak" with your own name.
step 5: Finally Save the file as welcome.vbs or Wisdak.vbs”.
Now to run our Program, lets launch runner on Windows by pressing
the "Windows key + R"
after Copy and paste or simply type
shell:startup
in order to open the Windows startup folder....
Now press "Enter or OK"
and the startup folder will open there copy and Paste the Program created earlier into the folder......
Finally, lets reboot or restart our PC and see the Magic !!
If It’s successfull, your name should be mentioned with a voice .....
It’s recommended to vary the sound scheme to No Sounds.
- Open control panel.
- Then open Sounds and Audio Devices Setting.
- Then click on the Sounds Tab.
- Select No Sounds from the Sound Scheme setting option.
And Save It
